Accounts Payable Clerk/Administrative Assistant Jobs in Van Alstyne, TX at Confidential
Position Summary: Responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling vendor statements, and supporting month-end closing activities to maintain strong vendor relationships and accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and post vendor invoices into accounting system.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents; resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding items.
- Maintain AP files and vendor master data; set up new vendors and update vendor information.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable aging; escalate overdue items.
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested.
- Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience; experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
