Accounts Payable Clerk/Administrative Assistant Jobs in Van Alstyne, TX at Confidential

Position Summary: Responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling vendor statements, and supporting month-end closing activities to maintain strong vendor relationships and accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and post vendor invoices into accounting system.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents; resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding items.
  • Maintain AP files and vendor master data; set up new vendors and update vendor information.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable aging; escalate overdue items.
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested.
  • Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience; experience with QuickBooks preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
