Job Description
A leading organisation is recruiting an Accounts Payable Accountant to join a dynamic finance team supporting critical month-end and vendor management processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate transaction processing, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting internal controls across the Accounts Payable function. This role requires someone analytical, organised, and confident working within fast-paced finance environments.
Responsibilities:
Control and perform month-end related tasks, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and within the correct accounting period.
Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations for Accounts Payable and follow up on outstanding items.
Manage Accounts Payable controls including GR/IR, duplicate payments, debit balances, blocked payments, and vendor ageing.
Perform and analyse daily EFT payment runs and monitor foreign payments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, business units, treasury teams, banks, and other internal stakeholders.
Support internal control processes and compliance adherence.
Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, and testing related to SAP, FIORI, and ARIBA within the Accounts Payable environment.
Requirements:
BCom Accounting Degree or equivalent accounting qualification.
1–2+ years’ relevant work experience within Accounts Payable or finance.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
Proficiency in MS Office is essential.
SAP experience preferred.
ARIBA experience preferred.
Coupa experience advantageous.
Exposure to audits, compliance processes, and internal controls will be beneficial.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
