Would you like to be part of our Team? We have an opportunity that has become available for an Accounts Clerk based at our Head Office in Durban.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing Financial Records, Processing Transactions, and supporting various Accounting Functions.
- Accurately entering Financial Transactions into Accounting Software and Databases.
- Processing Invoices, Verifying Payments, and ensuring Accurate Records of accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling Bank Statements with general ledgers to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Generating Financial Reports like Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Clerical Duties – Answering Phones, Filing, and other Administrative tasks to support the Accounts Department.
- Maintaining and Updating Accounting Databases and Spreadsheets.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounting Background/ Knowledge
- Proficiency in accounting software and basic computer skills is crucial.
- Ability to stay organised, manage multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Attention to Detail.
- Effective Communication – Verbal and Written.
- Ethical behavior.
- Analytical Skills- The ability to analyse Financial Data and Identify Trends or Discrepancies is an asset.
- Experience in Shipment
