Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Assign tasks, set clear objectives, and monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Ensure efficient workflow and optimal resource allocation within the team.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for assigned projects.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful reports to the Chief Accountant and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS).
- General Ledger Management: Supervise the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting documents.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the development and monitoring of budgets for assigned projects.
- Analyze budget variances and provide explanations for deviations.
- Contribute to the forecasting process to support financial planning.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing, Project Management, and Legal, to ensure alignment and accurate financial reporting.
- Respond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- A master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- +7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and EAS.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
