About the role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at LDP Chartered Accountants and Auditors.
This is a dynamic, people-focused role where you’ll lead a team of accountants, review their work, and build strong client relationships. You’ll work closely with the Partner/Director and play an important role in maintaining the high professional standards our firm is known for.

What you’ll be doing
You will be involved in a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Reviewing bookkeeping up to trial balance and monthly reconciliations
- Managing and submitting statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, DWT, etc.)
- Handling tax returns via eFiling
- Preparing financial statements in line with IFRS for SMEs
- Reviewing work of small- to medium-sized entities
- Managing client accounts and management reports
- Overseeing reconciliations (debtors, creditors, inventory)
- Assisting with SARS queries and registrations
- Preparing budgets, quotes, and managing billing
- Supporting team and individual performance targets
- Mentoring, training, and developing trainee accountants
- Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback

Minimum requirements:
- SAIPA-accredited degree
- Completed SAIPA articles
- Valid driver’s licence
