Lexdan Select is assisting an Engineering and Manufacturing company with their search for an Accountant, based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
The salary range on offer is between R60k – R75k p/m.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze financial data and produce insightful reports to support decision-making.
- Detailed monthly stock movement and variance analysis.
- Account for non-routine and complex transactions in line with IFRS for SMEs.
- Check and approve multi-currency payment batches, ensuring accuracy and adherence to SARB reporting requirements.
- Lead cost management initiatives by identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage the year-end audit process.
Requirements:
- Completion of a BCom Honours / Post Grad Diploma in Accounting, or Finance is required.
- CA(SA) qualification is preferred.
- 2–3 years of post-articles experience in a commercial or fast-paced environment (engineering or manufacturing experience is advantageous).
- Demonstrated ability to apply IFRS for SMEs to complex and non-routine transactions.
