Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to take full responsibility for the company’s accounting system and financial operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in import transactions and retail accounting, ensuring accurate reporting, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s full accounting cycle and financial records.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
- Handle import accounting including LC transactions, foreign payments, customs, and landed cost calculation.
- Maintain inventory accounting and reconcile stock records.
- Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) and margins.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, filings).
- Support audits and strengthen internal financial controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
- Proven experience in import and retail business accounting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and Ethiopian tax procedures.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
