Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Accountant based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role also involves preparing budgets, managing payroll, and assisting with audits to ensure financial accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications
- Expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, as well as general bookkeeping skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data
- Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or similar certification is a plus)
- Professional experience in financial management, with prior work in a creative or design-oriented industry as a bonus
