Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid (3 days in office) role based in Parktown North, Johannesburg. The Accountant will be responsible for drafting financial statements, monthly accounting tasks, company secretarial filings, tax calculations & submissions (including Income Tax, PAYE, VAT, and other relevant taxes), and supporting client onboarding activities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and comprehensive Financial Reporting
- Strong Analytical Skills and a solid understanding of Finance principles
- Experience with Accounting Software and financial systems
- Strong business writing skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in financial operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as AGA or equivalent is advantageous
- Knowledge of local financial regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
