Job Overview
This seasonal position is responsible for operating and managing industrial forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or into the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to transfer materials to and from the warehouse racks to stage for the seasonal value-added services crew.
- Operate other equipment such as the bander and wrapper to prepare product.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to prepare product for shipment.
- Use of stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
Skills
- Proven experience with forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following instructions from warehouse supervisors.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
