About The Position

Ctrack is seeking a meticulous DSC Quality Inspector to uphold our commitment to excellence. The primary focus of this role is to maintain rigorous quality control measures and identify training gaps to ensure operational efficiency. You will be the frontline of our quality assurance, ensuring that every process meets our high standards before reaching the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Oversight: Conduct thorough inspections at various production stages to ensure all specifications are met through visual checks, precise measurements, and functional testing.
  • Defect Identification: Rapidly identify defects or deviations from standards and document findings with high accuracy.
  • Corrective Action: Communicate defects clearly to the production and training teams to facilitate immediate corrective measures.
  • Process Maintenance: Uphold and enforce company-wide quality standards and compliance protocols.
  • Reporting: Maintain detailed inspection logs and provide feedback to supervisors to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with industry quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9000).
  • Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data from measuring instruments and identify trends or patterns in results.
  • Software Proficiency: Intermediate skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS CRM.
  • Tool Fluency: Comfortable using quality control software and modern inspection methods.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot quality issues and propose sustainable solutions.
  • Exceptional Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for reporting findings and collaborating with production teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4).
  • Experience: 1–3 years in a Quality Control or similar technical role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Telematics or a Call Centre environment is highly advantageous.
  • Certifications: Certifications in Six Sigma or similar quality methodologies will be a distinct advantage.
