About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Combined NOC (Network Operations Centre) and SOC (Security Operations Centre) Agent to join our team. This unique hybrid role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in IT networking and cybersecurity, who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments. As a Combined NOC and SOC Agent, you will play a critical role in monitoring, managing, and securing our clients’ IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations Centre (NOC) Responsibilities:
- Monitor client networks, servers, and systems to ensure uptime and performance.
- Respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch updates, system optimizations, and backups.
- Collaborate with technical teams to escalate and resolve advanced technical issues.
- Generate and maintain accurate system documentation and reports.
Security Operations Centre (SOC) Responsibilities:
- Monitor security tools and systems to detect and respond to potential threats or breaches.
- Analyze logs and data to identify vulnerabilities or suspicious activities.
- Respond to security incidents, including containment, mitigation, and reporting.
- Assist in implementing and managing security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and provide recommendations for security improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT networking, system administration, or cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching (Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices (certification is a plus).
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including shift rotations as required.
- Outstanding communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Pay: R20 000,00 – R25 000,00 per month
