We're looking for a Fintech FinOps Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations. This is a real ownership role, you'll be the go-to for finance across the business, working as part of a global team that values clear communication, accountability, and looking out for one another. Reporting directly to c-suite leadership, this is an opportunity to develop your career to help shape and own the financial operations within a fast-paced, scaling business.
Responsibilities
Billing & Accounts Receivable
- Own the end-to-end monthly billing cycle across a hybrid model — recurring subscriptions, usage-based fees, and one-off charges — across GBP, USD, and EUR
- Generate and send invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and manage debtor communication and escalation
- Reconcile incoming payments from direct debit and payment link platforms against the accounting system
- Act as the first point of contact for billing and invoice queries from across the business
Accounts Payable
- Code, post, and maintain accurate AP ledgers
- Process supplier invoices and manage payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain a clear view of outstanding payables at all times
Bank Reconciliations
- Perform monthly reconciliations across all accounts and currencies
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly and independently
Journals & General Ledger
- Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and corrections
- Maintain clean, accurate ledgers throughout the month — not just at close
Month-End Close
- Own the full month-end close process — all transactions posted, all accounts reconciled, ledger signed off on time
- Produce a concise monthly financial pack for leadership once close is complete
You'll need:
- Full-cycle accounting experience and hands-on ownership of month-end close — you've run it, not just supported it
- Experience within Saas, fintech or subscription based billing cycles
- Advanced Excel — comfortable building and owning complex workbooks and reconciliation models
- Xero as a primary accounting tool in a real commercial context
- Full AP and AR experience — coding, posting, ledger maintenance
- Strong, confident English communication — written and verbal
- The ability to work autonomously and remotely with minimal day-to-day supervision
It's a bonus if you have:
- Multi-currency experience (GBP, USD, EUR)
- Exposure to GoCardless, Stripe, or HubSpot
- Experience producing management accounts or financial summaries for senior stakeholders
Qualified or part-qualified (CA, CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent) preferred, though demonstrably strong commercial experience will be considered.
